It's the 5th edition of The Event Managers' Workshop. If you missed the workshop last year, let me share a summary of what it was about.

The Professional Event Managers' Workshop 4.0 was tagged "SHOWCASE" and from the photo above, it is the only event program on record so far that had all the Presidents of the Top Event Associations in Nigeria in attendance. That's quite an achievement!

From L-R, we have The President of ASSEV, The President of APUN, The Convener of The Event Managers' Workshop, The President of APPOEMN and The President of PEPVAN.

It was super loaded. Our Keynote Speaker, Adeola Sessi-Taore (CEO, LemonyTouch Events) did justice to the topic. We had 2 panel sessions - physical and virtual. Our virtual panelists joined via Zoom from Canada and USA. A lot of questions were answered and the participants left fulfilled.

If you were not there, you don't need to feel bad at all because another opportunity to be part of this epic event is here again and guess what? They are all going to be speaking at this year's workshop...

Here is the GOOD NEWS:
The Event Managers' Workshop 5.0, with the theme COLLABORATE is a 1-day hybrid event, put together for event managers - start-up, budding or fully-established. Location is Ibadan, Oyo state but virtual participation will be available.

This workshop is for you if:

  • networking opportunities with event industry experts,
  • tea break and lunch,
  • branded writing materials,
  • 1 professional headshot and
  • 1-year mentoring as an event manager.
Feedback from a participant at SHOWCASE
Why is it important to collaborate as a professional event manager?

Collaborations open you to new opportunities and allows you to use your strengths to complement others. Collaborations help you to learn new business processes from others and help you increase your income. Collaborations help you to expand your network and foster new partnerships.

I can go on and on but let's save the rest for the workshop.

You probably have gotten your fingers burnt from one or more collaboration experience(s) but guess what, we have plans in place to help you tackle these issues.

So, CALM DOWN! We had you in mind when we chose this theme for this year's workshop and we can't wait to see you there.
Dear Fellow Event Manager,

My name is Adeife Abiodun-Adeyemi and I am the Founder of The Event Managers' Community, the platform through which this workshop was birthed.

I am a tech-savvy Event entrepreneur (hybrid planner/manager, a certified Coach/mentor, author, event business tech-queen etc) at Ife'ctiv Touch and known as The #packagewithsense Coach as a personal brand.

My mission is to help you as a budding or established event manager to build a visible, profitable and sustainable event management business so that you can feel fulfilled, have influence and impact while doing what you love, regardless of the economy.

In 2020, during the pandemic, my event business did not go on break. We tapped into the demands of people and carved a new niche in the industry - virtual/hybrid event planning and management. This included hosting of virtual events, live streaming and offering digital solutions to event professionals. Now, in 2024, we are on top of mind when it comes to digital guest access (RSVP processes, access card with QR codes, guest list management etc).

I belong to several communities and associations like The Professional Event Planners and Vendors Association of Nigeria (PEPVAN), Association of Professional Ushers in Nigeria, The Well-Watered Garden Tribe (WWGT), The Event Solutions Hub (TESH), to mention a few.

I have founded a few communities too - The Digitalpreneurs Hub, The Home-Made Millionaires Club, The Event Managers' Community, The #packagewithsense Community (under which I have The Packagewithsense Connoisseur and The Packagewithsense Boss Mastermind)

I have been featured on a couple of media platforms - newspaper, radio and TV and I look forward to more.

I am a multi-award winner and have been nominated for several awards. In 2019, I won The "Event Planner of the year" award by Blingz Awards. In 2023, I was honoured with an Influencers Award by Ibadan Entrepreneurs Network and In March 2024, I was recognized as one of the Top 30 Female Event professionals by The BusyBee Excellence Awards.

I am a work-from-home wife and mom of 2 soldiers. I love teaching, travelling with family and friends and doing any form of legit digital work.

I am super passionate about my job as an event manager and when we meet at the workshop, I will definitely tell you more about myself. Is that a deal?
